The Secretary of State for Tourism, Joan Mesquida, presented the award that recognizes the effort and the work being done by the municipality of Lorca in the protection and promotion of tourism in the municipality
The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar gathered last night at the Palco de Honor at the Santiago Bernabéu, the award that distinguishes the "Q" quality to the tourist office in our city.
The award was presented by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Joan Mesquida, in the framework of the VII edition of the Night Q.
This event was attended by the Directors of Tourism of Aragon, Asturias, Castilla la Mancha, Galicia and La Rioja, the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Aragon, and the Directors General of Tourism of Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Canarias, Cantabria , Castilla la Mancha, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Galicia and La Rioja.
The gala, an act with a greater presence in the framework of FITUR, aims to recognize the commitment to the Spanish Tourism Quality System as well as celebrating the 10 th anniversary of ICTE.
In this act of recognition of the quality of Spanish tourism companies have turned more than 1,200 people, among which are national, international, regional and local businesses, tourism associations and media.
Next to the mayor was present Councilman Municipal Tourism Consistory, Francisco Montiel, who recalled that the Tourist Office of Lorca has also been recognized as the Best Tourist Office in the Region.
Montiel said further that with this, the city now has 4 outlets distinguished: a travel agency, a farmhouse, a restaurant and tourist office.
In total, the Region of Murcia are 6 tourist information offices certified with the Q for Quality, which places the community in sixth place nationally in terms of tourist certified.
