The Mayor of Town and City Council of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, along with Director Cajamurcia zone, Pedro Vicente Buendia, presented the program of cultural tours this year, "Know Your Region, whose fate this year is Caravaca de la Cruz.

Jódar Ruiz said that "as you well know from previous editions through this program we aim to give our seniors the chance to visit the Region of Murcia in all its glory.

While promoting culture and harmony among recipients therefore, annually, are designed routes that allow knowing the most intimate corners of municipalities in Murcia.

In previous years, our ancestors knew the cities of Jumilla and Puerto Lumbreras, with vastly superior support for editing, 2,500 people, which guarantees the welcome of this project among the elderly in our town.

Jódar Ruiz stated that "this year we have chosen as a destination Caravaca de la Cruz, as it is one of the most monumental cities in the region of Murcia and most historic, to which must be added that this year and around Vera Cruz, has been declared a jubilee year for the Holy See.

The trip will take place during the months of April and May, with departures from all villages and city neighborhoods in order to enable the participation of everyone over any part of the municipality.

Being the first next Tuesday, April 13.

The success of this edition is already ensured by observing the number of elderly enrolled in this initiative, which reaches and the figure of 2,000 people belonging to all Pensioners Club City, Nursing Homes, Senior Classrooms and other institutions involved in Third Age.

Municipal sources have indicated that the itinerary of each trip is as follows:

Departure from Social Centres.

10:00 am

Arrival at Caravaca.

10:30 am

Rise in tourist train to the holy city, including visits to Temple, Church of the Conception, Log, Main Street, Church of the Savior, Church of the Society of Jesus, the Monastery Church of San José, City Hall, Plaza del Arco, Sanctuary Santisima y Vera Cruz de Caravaca.

19:00 pm

Arrival Lorca.

The mayor of Major Policy has stressed his gratitude to the foundation Cajamurcia for funding of this program, without whose invaluable assistance would be impracticable to carry it out.
