80 youth participate in a new cultural program of the City of Lorca (02/06/2010)

The Councillor for Employment and Social Services City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, has stressed that this multicultural program, called "A3 Bands," which takes place in Los Angeles, pursuing the integration of young people between 11 and 19 years, through two actions training in environment and sustainable development, and new technologies, and three workshops, tutoring, sports and information society.

The Councillor for Social Policy, Employment and Immigration of the Municipality of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, visited the morning activities of the new program "A 3 Bands, leisure and cultural training for young people between 11 and 19, who has up the Municipal Council of Social Services in the district of Los Angeles and involved 80 people from eight different countries.

Ibarra has reported that this project will be conducted between April and June, offering activities and times vary according to the age of the participants.

Thus, minors between 11 and 16 are participating in the afternoon in workshops to support education, new technologies (web page creation and blogging, virtual games, social networks), other sports and other outdoor activities, including most prominently the Hip-Hop.

For their part, young people aged 16 to 19 who are not studying officers are receiving in the mornings from Monday to Friday special training through training initiatives in the areas of new technologies and renewable energies, they can open doors of the workplace.

Recreational and educational activities of this new program of social integration and employment, which also includes among its objectives the prevention of truancy, are free and are held in the Multipurpose Center for Social Action (Los Angeles Avenue in Los Angeles n ° 35 under).

This program also provides for social participation and support personal and family counseling to participants who require it through intercultural mediators.

"The goal of this project is to promote civic harmony of different cultures of the municipality and support these youth in their educational and professional future," stressed the council.

The "A 3 Bands joins the large number of local initiatives to prevent young people suffer a lack of training in a future job search process, while promoting social behavior and coexistence between different cultures that enrich our town.

"A 3-Band," whose name refers to the work in the areas of leisure, education and multiculturalism, is funded by the European Integration Fund.

Students are nine different nationalities: Spanish, Ecuadorian, Moroccan, Colombian, Bolivian, Algerians, Bulgarians and Poles.
