The aim is that citizens of this district have a better allocation of space inside the building and proceed to correct certain leaks and sound insulation thereof.
The Women Councilors and Local Social de Lorca, Antonio Lopez and Mari Carmen Ruiz, attended the start of construction of social improvement in the local neighborhood of the Virgen de las Huertas, which took place this morning.
The elected officials have explained that this is a project aimed at the adequacy of the social center located on Calle Virgen de las Huertas Alameda.
The works consist of the internal redeployment to enhance functionality, improve thermal and acoustic insulation, reform of the plumbing to get water saving and, in general, are directed to the interior fittings.
The work includes a better distribution of interior space to relocate the bar area, the placement of sound insulation in party walls, repair of existing plumbing, adaptation of energy efficient lighting, replacement of external joinery and other lacquered aluminum, glass camera placement, replacement of deteriorated wood interior woodwork, flooring and tile replacement, new plasterboard partition walls to get the new spaces, interior painting, replacement of toilets, placement of mirrors in the multipurpose room generally all actions necessary to leave the facilities in good working order.
Municipal sources have said the center is a two-story building height which has a total area of 300 m2, with reinforced concrete structure, the exterior walls are clad in brick masonry and woodwork are painted steel.
Today its interior is partitioned into several units, being in the bar downstairs and a meeting room, office, toilet, and a warehouse.
The upper floor contains an office, bathroom and two multipurpose rooms.
The main deficiencies are going to improve with these works were the problems of functionality and acoustic insulation and leaks from the woodwork and steel.
From City of Lorca have indicated that the work, which involves an investment of EUR 70,000, have a lead time of 3 months.

The site visit also attended the council of the Virgen de las Huertas, Lali Ibarra, who has reported the large amount of work being done in this area the City Council.
