Citizens Lorca will present in the next plenary session of May a motion regarding the universal accessibility of playgrounds.
The inclusive playgrounds are based on the integration of the usual games with games accessible and adapted for children with disabilities, so that they too can enjoy the park with the rest of the children.
Antonio Meca explains that "Accessible Playgrounds are a social necessity because children with disabilities are often the forgotten ones, as they do not have their own voice as a collective".
To carry out this adaptation "we can not just focus" on the equipment or game elements (slides, swings, seesaws, ...) "we must also do it in the facilities" (situation, accessibility and use, signaling, ...) indicates the Councilman .
To make this adaptation, Citizens will propose adapting existing playgrounds for the use and enjoyment of people with diversity and establishing a plan of priorities so that in the short term the adaptation of the parks to universal accessibility is made.
