Citizens has filed a motion that has to do with the reduction of advertising and propaganda expenses in editions of magazines, publications and information bulletins of the City of Lorca, and proposes to develop a regulatory ordinance on institutional advertising.
Antonio Meca considers it necessary "to provide the City Council with its own regulations with the aim of making its institutional public advertising a transparent and general interest policy, and establish the contractual criteria with the media, limitations and prohibitions that strengthen the rights citizens and the control of advertising carried out ".
In the costs of advertising and propaganda and with the intention of avoiding patronage or favoritism "we believe it necessary to reach consensus and establish an objective regulatory framework, for which a regulatory ordinance for institutional advertising could be the solution," explains Meca.
The government of La Rioja and towns such as Seville, Malaga, Jerez or Roquetas de Mar already have this tool that controls and monitors all institutional advertising.
