This is an Analysis Commission that will work on the drafting of a document that will contemplate the social, legal, technical and financial aspects of the activity of direct provision of urban passenger transport service in our municipality.
The Councilman of Transports in the City council of Lorca, Francisco Javier Pelegrín, has informed that the Municipal Consistory has set up a Commission of Study, approved unanimously by the Plenary, that has like objective establish the leaf of route that allows to advance what as quickly as possible in the implementation of a new model of urban transport service.
We must indicate that on May 25 the Government Board agreement was adopted whereby the file for the resolution of the contract of indirect management of collective urban transport under the concession regime that is maintained with the current company was initiated.
Francisco Javier Pelegrín has stressed that the main work of this commission will be to determine the management model of the urban transport service, initiating the legal and administrative procedures foreseen.
The Plenary of the City Council held this morning has proceeded to approve the designation and implementation of a study commission, which will be responsible for preparing a report that covers the social, legal, technical and financial aspects of the activity of direct service provision of urban transport of travelers in Lorca.
According to what has been established, a developed report must be taken into consideration by the Corporation, for which reason it will be taken to the Plenary, and then publicly exposed.
After its final approval by the Plenary, the complete file will be submitted to the competent body of the CARM.
The Transportation Edil explained that one of the most important issues in this aspect, along with the improvement of service provision to Lorca, is that in the reversion of the service to this City Council, and its management by it, is included the subrogation of the personnel contracted by the UTE concessionaire of the transport service, in such a way that these workers have the job security they deserve.
We are talking about defining the roadmap to follow in the process that began on May 25, and with which we will achieve an improvement in public transport service, as well as continue with the increase in users that has been recorded. for about two years.
The agreements contained in the motion consist of the creation of the Study Commission in charge of preparing a Report that covers the aspects outlined above, so that once drafted it is submitted for consideration to this Municipal Plenary, and subsequent public exposure.
El Edil explained that, as already announced a few weeks ago, we want to improve the service that is being developed by the concessionaire company, so, after repeated notice, the Government Board has already made a motion based on the reports elevated on the case.
These are documents initialed by the officials or municipalities attached to the councils of Transport and Contracting that confirmed the repeated breaches that were accumulated.
