Throughout the summer there will be family theatrical visits taking advantage of the school holidays of the youngest of the house.
A castle to conquer.
A border to defend.
Become a gentleman or a princess and live an adventure in the Middle Ages.
The star activity of the summer days begins at La Fortaleza del Sol, a theatrical visit specially oriented to the family audience in which to become a knight or a medieval princess to defend the border that overlooks the Castle of Lorca.
The activity is specially designed for families to enjoy knowing the Castle by hand of a medieval character who will propose games, riddles and tests to prove their worth as knights or princesses.
During the tour you will visit the Torre del Espolón, defensive bastion that marked the border between Muslims and Christians for more than two centuries;
some of the water tanks vital for life, the reservoirs;
the walls that protected their lives;
and the main esplanade where the Knights and Princesses of the fortress were trained.
During the visit games, riddles and activities will be done to become Knights and Princesses.
As summer is hot, some of the activities will be water games to cool off while you train.
At noon at the Cafetería Las Caballerizas del Castillo de Lorca you can make a stop for lunch, from the menu or a la carte, in the fort's courtyard where you can taste the local gastronomy.
To complete the day it is recommended to take guided visits to the Archaeological Park of the Castle to see the Synagogue of the XV century;
and the Torre Alfonsina, the main bastion of this Fortress.
