Due to the planning of the works, the Popular Party has left a group of streets without remodeling between the areas of Pérez Casas and Calvario.

The neighbors complain about the poor state of their streets and assure they do not understand why they were not included in the urban regeneration projects of the adjacent streets

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Andrea Periago has called for the repair and renovation of the service networks of the streets Franco, Redón, Cazorla, Rincón de Macho and Carmen Viejo.

It is a group of streets, with pedestrian access to the Calvario area, which in an "incomprehensible and illogical" manner were left out of the "immediately close" urban regeneration projects.

Andrea Periago says that this "forgetfulness" is a direct consequence of the planning "at the height of the kill" that the Popular Party has done with the works "that go from one neighborhood to another, leaving streets in the middle without fixing".

According to the socialist mayor, the residents of the streets described, "wonder why they have not included their streets within the projects of Calvary or San Jose, when it was logical and common sense."

These neighbors, he says, "have as much right as other neighbors to have decent and more accessible streets."

From the PSOE ask the Mayor not to continue discriminating between neighbors first and neighbors second, judging by how it maintains a street and others, but says that "that is the feeling that these neighbors have to judge by how they are treated from this Town hall".

Periago has insisted on the need to give continuity "aesthetic and functional" to these streets, "renewing service networks, improving both sidewalks and asphalt, as well as the situation of wiring and garbage containers."

In this sense, from the PSOE warn the Mayor that if you finally plan to remodel these streets you have to ask and ask before the neighbors, especially the parking situation.

Periago remembers that it is about homes, many of them old, that do not have private garages, so it would be "a bigger mistake" to repeat what the PP has already done in other areas of the city, such as Alameda de Cervantes , Alfonso X or the own high districts where the works "have taken ahead dozens of squares of parking" making difficult the day to day of the neighbors.
