The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has encouraged all Lorca to participate in the act as a tribute and remember Miguel Angel Blanco, councilman of the City of Ermua whose execution is 21 years.
The event will take place this afternoon at 7:00 pm on the street that bears his name (located between the Ramón Arcas Meca and Miguel Ángel residential institutes).
It is planned to read a manifesto accompanied by a floral offering.
The First Edil has called Lorca to respond with his participation in this act to the debt of gratitude that the Spanish society owes to Miguel Angel Blanco, a victim of terrorism whose kidnapping and murder supposed the end of the fear towards ETA.
It is a figure that symbolizes the heroism, dignity and suffering of the more than a thousand victims that ETA has caused in Spain.
This act must serve so that no one forgets that the victims of terrorism continue to suffer and that they must continue to feel the full support of all Spaniards.

Fulgencio Gil has said that the vile murder of Miguel Ángel Blanco by ETA has marked the history of Spain, giving as fruit the so-called spirit of Ermua as well as his manifesto, which managed to bring together public officials around the defense of the values ââof democracy and the rejection of ETA.

Miguel Ángel Blanco was a Popular Party councilor in Ermua between 1995 and 1997. He was 29 years old when ETA kidnapped him on July 10, 1997, blackmailing the government with murdering him if he did not bring the prisoners of that organization to the Basque prisons.
48 hours later he was shot in the town of Lasarte in Guipuzcoa.
