The spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has proposed a battery of measures to control access to the beaches of Calnegre Puntas not "so restrictive" or become an "abuse" that prevents the use and enjoy the Lorca littoral to neighbors and tourists.
Mateos assures that solutions have to be offered in the face of the discomfort that has been generated, especially among neighboring populations, by the fact that the Popular Party has imposed this series of "restrictive" measures as it usually does: without previously consulting the citizens.
Echoing the discomfort of the population, the PSOE will take the initiative and will present, if this situation is not solved before, a motion to the next Plenary Session of the City of Lorca to demand, first, to prepare a detailed study on the "total" parking capacity of the different coves, in order to allow the maximum number of vehicles, compatible with the safety of the users and the protection of the natural environment.
In addition, Mateos claims the price reduction of the bus ticket.
The Socialist spokesman insists that the price of 3 euros per person is "disproportionate" to travel a journey that barely reaches 2 kilometers.
In the natural park of Cabo de Gata, with similar control, the price of the bus is 1 euro, so he insists that "the price reduction is possible."
Similarly, Mateos has proposed that areas of "loading and unloading" of passengers be enabled for those drivers who will not stay on the beach but only agree to leave their relatives and then return to pick them up.
A measure especially aimed at the residents of the area, for whom also calls for studying "bonuses", especially for the populations of Morata, Ramonete and Garrobillo, with the aim of providing them access to these neighbors who "have these beaches as a place of reference for your summer rest ".
In addition, Mateos has also been concerned about the damage that this new access control system generates to the hotel business installed on Calnegre beach.
The owners fear that this system will have an impact on their economic activity.
Mateos regrets that the Popular Party will once again opt for "imposition" instead of the agreement and neighborhood consensus when adopting this type of measure.
