Lorca, Tuesday, July 10.
More than 600 dependents with recognized assistance at home, have not been able to be attended to since October 2017 due to the negligence of the government team.
The agreement was signed with the CARM on October 23, 2017 but the procedures for contracting this service have not been implemented in time.
Councilman notes that "the government team arrives a year late to implement the agreement signed by the CARM in October 2017, which would have facilitated that more than 600 people could have been served by being dependent on home help needs"
Meca adds that not only € 881,000 have been lost in this financial year 2017-2018, but "it could have been used in previous years to subsidize this service since for example municipalities such as Abarán and Puerto Lumbreras have already signed the same agreement in 2015" .
Another negative consequence for Lorca has been that the CARM has been forced by the inaction of the government team to act in a manner linked to some of those affected (191 people): these advance the payment and are subsequently reintegrated by the CARM.
"The government team incomprehensibly has not put out to tender this service until May 25, 2018 and recognizes that it will not be able to start up until November, since it has a processing time of around six months," says Meca.
In addition to the 635 people who have not been able to benefit from having their files blocked as dependents, there are other 191 who have had to advance the money for the service to be subsequently paid by the CARM (linked character) and 45 for not be able to advance the money, they have run out of service.
