Mateos asks the Regional Government to go hand in hand with the State since the aid is co-financed at 50% between the Autonomous Community and the Government of Spain.
For this, there is a great opportunity to leave everything closed, by mutual agreement and by consensus in the next meeting that the Government Delegate, Diego Conesa, will have with López Miras on Tuesday, July 24.
The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has assured that it is "welcome" the proposed Law announced by the Regional Government to facilitate operations at the time that those affected by the return of earthquake aid can justify the investment of them in the repair of their homes.
However, although it positively values the step taken "finally" by the regional Administration, Mateos ensures that we must join efforts to achieve, among all, that this Law "do not fall short."
Mateos assures that this proposition of Law "arrives late" but insists that "it is welcome".
The Socialist Spokesperson has added that López Miras has had no choice but to give in to the important social and political pressure, especially exercised by the different Municipal Groups in the City of Lorca and also by the new Government Delegate, to whom he appreciates his important Work from minute one, to take this first big step.
Diego José Mateos hopes that this law will have the participation of all political groups and be born of consensus, especially to get a Law "as guarantee as possible" that takes into account "case by case" each and every one of the cases appeared to root of the problem by the return of aid for earthquakes.
Mateos understands that this proposed Law, although it is positive, "falls short and says nothing" about some aspects, such as what to do with all those files that have already been prescribed, or what to do with those who have already started the procedure for the reimbursement of their aid which, he insists, "must be suspended".
"Only from joint work and together we can be able to offer the necessary solutions to put an end, with all the guarantees, to this true hell that these families continue to go through, seven years after the fateful earthquakes."
Mateos also reminds that the proposed Regional Law is a solution that must go "yes or yes" in conjunction with the State to cover any loophole and not exclude any solution, since, he adds, "the aid is co-financed at 50% between the Autonomous Community and the Government of Spain ".
In this sense, Mateos has reported that there is a great opportunity to leave it "all closed, by mutual agreement and by consensus" in the next meeting that the Government Delegate, Diego Conesa, will have with López Miras on Tuesday, July 24. .
