The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, and a representative of the Cazalla Intercultural Association, Sibi Rodríguez, presented this morning a new European project entitled "Open Learning Experience" (OLE) in which both the Lorca Consistory and this entity with the objective of creating a manual with activities for teachers that deal with the teaching of Spanish to immigrants and refugees.
Agustín Llamas pointed out that "in this project we have the collaboration of several partners from Birmingham (SCCB and Praxis) experts in family learning and Italy (REPLAY) experts in non-formal learning." In addition, this initiative is also carried out in close collaboration with the San Cristóbal School, whose professors, director and head of studies are fully involved in the improvement of teaching and in its adaptation to the diverse realities of our present, as well as with the CEPAIM foundation, involved in the teaching of Spanish, the integration and the autonomy of immigrants. "
The Councilor for Youth has indicated that "among the activities that will be carried out during the duration of this project include the holding of 4 transnational meetings, a seminar, a training course for teachers and two multiplier events in each country. highlight that the manual that is being developed in this project seeks to combine family learning, language learning and also the learning of transversal competences such as "learning to learn", "intercultural communication" or "civic competence", among others " .
Llamas explained that "the total budget of the program is 149,155 euros, of which 22,555 euros are allocated to the City of Lorca to invest in coordination tasks, mobilities that will be carried out during the project, creation and translation of intellectual products and organization of multiplier events The project is part of the Erasmus + program, Key Action 2 (Strategic Partnerships for Innovation), and has been approved by the SEPIE (Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education).
