The plenary of the Regional Assembly has approved this morning, unanimously, a law proposed by the Popular Party aimed at providing the residents of Lorca the justification of the aid received for the repair of their homes after the earthquakes of 2011.
The deputy of the Popular Parliamentary Group, Francisco Jódar, has affirmed that with this norm the way begins to modify the legislation and overcome the excess of bureaucracy.
The approved text will make it possible to speed up the resolution of housing repair aid and increase its justification period.
These measures will give a rapid exit to 5,300 records worth 32 million euros.
With the entry into force of the law, the beneficiaries will provide a report that describes, as a responsible statement, the works made and paid.
And the Administration, for its part, will supervise a minimum sampling of the amount of aid granted.
If everything is correct, the rest should not justify anything. Jodar stressed that in this way we managed to unblock the situation of families that today are in the process of justifying the aid.
He has also asked the Government of Spain to forgive 50% of the interest to the beneficiaries of state aid, as the Executive of Fernando López Miras has done.
A decision reflected in the Budget of the Autonomous Community of 2018.
The regional government has already responded to 16,000 requests for aid for an amount of 80 million euros.
The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil and members of the Municipal Corporation have followed, from the public area, the development of the debate that has led to the approval of the new law.
