The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar denounces the Coy Ecopark, in which the Popular Party spent in 2010 208,797 euros of public money without anyone asking and never came to be used, has been become an authentic garbage dump due to the abandonment and neglect of these facilities.
Sánchez Jódar says that this situation is a direct consequence of the abandonment by the Popular Party that left these facilities to die just after inaugurating them.
The situation of abandonment of these facilities has been denounced by the PSOE together with neighbors on numerous occasions in recent years.
In fact, at the request of the socialists, Gil Jódar came to be engaged in the Plenary Session of the City of Lorca to conduct a study on the most appropriate destination to "put in value" and give a new use "useful and efficient" to the facilities of the Ecopark of Coy.
17 months after that agreement, and judging by the current state and use of the Ecopark, "time has shown that the word of the then councilor of Limusa, today Mayor, was a lie".
Not only have they done nothing, but their neglect and neglect is what is encouraging these facilities to be vandalized and used as an illegal garbage dump.
The PSOE claims the cleaning of the artificial beach of Coy and its surroundings
At the request of the residents of the district of Coy, Sánchez Jódar has also claimed the increase in cleaning tasks on the artificial beach and especially its surroundings and garden areas.
The accumulation of garbage and weeds, the mayor assures, disfigures the aesthetics of facilities that must be cared for and encouraged, since they must serve as a tourist attraction, not only for the residents of the hamlet, but to attract tourists from other points.
Sánchez Jódar regrets that for the carelessness of this Mayor and this Popular Party government team that "only wants the districts of mouthpiece" we have to get to the point of claiming something "as basic and elementary" as it is to increase cleaning tasks now that the influx of visitors to this artificial beach increases.
