The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos has celebrated the announcement of renovation of the Caravaca road environment although it is a "more announcement" about a project that, he says, "is late and is born lame "
The mayor regrets that, as announced by the Mayor and the Development Advisor, the project does not include the creation of a "safe route" to guarantee safety from the crossing of the Peñica to the ships of the Incarnate Pass.
A "forgetfulness" with which "they despise a historical request from the neighbors of the place" and that the PSOE has claimed from the hand of the inhabitants of the area on repeated occasions.
From the PSOE hope that this announcement "is the definitive" and is not "another ad more" to return to leave this project in the drawer.
Remember that this project "was already announced in April 2016 by the former Mayor, Francisco Jódar, and the then General Director of Roads, Fernández Lladó."
However, he assures that for now it is an ad "without more" because, in addition, the works are still "to be signed and awarded".
They hope, therefore, that the Popular Party will be able to expedite this process and not give rise to "paperwork" which delays the execution of this project, as has happened with the Central Round project, which has been paralyzed for years. , or with the renovation of the neighborhood of La Salud and Cristo Rey.
It is not, therefore, an "imminent" project so "it is clear that it is a mere announcement", because among the publication, the award, the start of the works and the months of execution can go more than one year".
However, they hope that the execution of the works will be "planned and coordinated" so that Lorca can save themselves again some works "plagued by flaws" and "accelerated" in order to coincide their inauguration with the electoral campaign, just as have done with other neighborhoods and areas of Lorca.
