Gil Jódar will have to clarify in the Plenary whether he has planned or not to ask the citizens of Lorca, as he announced last October, about the decision to maintain or not the Puente de la Torta and its integration into the project of the Central Round

The spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos wants Mayor Gil Jódar clarify whether or not to ask the citizens of Lorca, as announced last October, on the decision to maintain or not the Puente de la Torta and its future integration in the Central Round project.

Mateos remains concerned about the inexplicable paralysis surrounding the central round project.

Specifically, the section III, which would run from the bridge of La Torta to the new roundabout in the old Puente de Vallecas, is under study and is still awaiting the technical solution for the integration of the Puente de la Torta, in order to start the administrative processing of the file.

Taking into account the announcement made by the municipal government team, through the Mayor, last October about his intention to submit to the opinion of Lorca, through a public consultation, the possible options before making a decision final about the integration of the La Torta Bridge in the project, Mateos will ask Gil Jódar to clarify "on what date and under what formula" they plan to ask citizens in this regard.

Mateos urged the Mayor of Lorca to work to unblock this situation because, otherwise, "will be directly responsible for the loss of funding."

Everything, he assures, for the planning of the works, because it is incomprehensible that, since 2007 that the Popular Party has been promising this project, they have not been able to contemplate or solve the integration of the historic monument in the project of the ring road.
