The councilor of Izquierda Unida-Verdes, Gloria Martín, will ask for explanations in the municipal plenary session about the lack of electrification in the hamlet of Jarales, one of the most affected by the phenomenon of depopulation and in which around twenty dwellings They still do not have a light supply.
"It is inexplicable that in the XXI century there are families that still lack standardized electricity supply."
Martin said, recalling that the fact that the fourth phase of the Jarales electrification project is incomplete, "prevents guaranteeing its owners optimum living conditions and, of course, rules out any possibility of repopulating the site."
Martín also has been able to verify the lamentable state of the road of the Cordilleras, that joins Jarales with the deputation of Ortillo.
It is an essential means of communication for the residents of the area, who are condemned to travel it daily in distressing conditions.
A little over a year ago, a tragic accident that cost the life of a farmer, served to confirm that the emergency services take more than 45 minutes to travel to a hamlet that is just 20 kilometers from the urban center of Lorca.
"It is extremely worrisome the situation of isolation and insecurity suffered by these neighbors due to the poor conditions of road connections," said the mayor of IU-Greens.
That is why he will ask in the Plenary when its conditioning is planned.
