The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has echoed the uneasiness that exists among the users of the health center Lorca-San Diego due to delays in medical care by closing medical agendas as a result of the lack of staff.
Sánchez Jódar denounces delays of up to 15 and 20 days in medical care provided at the Lorca-San Diego health center.
As the mayor has learned, when requesting an appointment with her family doctor, users are finding that the agendas are closed.
Specifically, when accessing through the Internet appointment service, the message received by patients is that "there are no free hours at the requested time", while if they consult through the telephone, users are advised that they may be attended by their general practitioner as of August 20, with the proviso that, if it is an emergency, it is recommended that they go to Sutullena or Rafael Méndez, starting at 3:00 p.m.
Sánchez Jódar says that this situation is "inadmissible" because "diseases do not understand months in the calendar."
The mayor has asserted that this situation is a direct result of the "disastrous" public health management that makes the Popular Party, whose responsible "far from being concerned about cuts in personnel, what they do is reward them", as put revealed a few weeks ago, having knowledge of the content of the "management pact of area III of health".
An internal document in which it was recognized that the managers of area III of health are "rewarded" by the Murcian Health Service for the saving of hiring of personnel, for example, in the face of substitutions in summer.
Sánchez Jódar regrets that far from improving health care in the municipality of Lorca, the Popular Party, with its Mayor at the helm, is leading to a "progressive deterioration" of public health due to cuts in personnel and the disastrous policy of hiring that continues to take health area III "to the tail of the tail" of health in the Region and in the country.
