The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, visited today the players of the Lorca Club Soccer Base, which this season will play in the highest category of national football, the Youth Honor Division.
Martínez-Cachá congratulated the team for his promotion and wished him "many successes in this season and in his future sports commitments".
Also, the counselor stressed "the good time that is living the sport of the Region of Murcia, which continuously gives us great joy."
The team, coached by Paco Lorca, rose this year, 18 years after the city of the sun had the last team in this category.
In the more than one hundred years of history have been four times that Lorca has had a team in the highest youth category, with four different names, Lorca Deportiva, Lorca Promesas, Lorca FC and now Lorca Fútbol Base, which is formed by more of 800 children.
