The Local Union of Merchants collaborates with the activity that will celebrate 4 sessions within the agenda of the Lorca Olympics: September 12 at the Alameda de la Constitución, September 19 at the San José Park, October 3 at the Parque de La Vineyard and October 10 at the Corredera

The Councilors of Commerce and Sports of the City Council of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz and Juan Miguel Bayonas, respectively, together with the President of the Local Union of Merchants, Antonio Martínez, and the President of the AD Eliocroca, Antonio García, have presented an initiative to unite commerce and sport during the celebration of the 40th edition of Guadalentín Sports Games that will be inaugurated tonight.

Ruiz pointed out that "the objective of this campaign is to boost trade through sports, interacting and economically impacting trade while the world of sports gives visibility to local commerce." In this sense, the Merchants' Union has decided collaborate generously with the celebration of the activity Playing Athletics on the Street, which will celebrate 4 sessions within the agenda of the Guadalentín Sports Games ".

Bayonas recalled that "Playing Athletics on the Street is an activity that is launched every year by the Eliocroca Sports Association with the aim that children between 6 and 12 years enjoy popular sports, practice healthier physical activity in the open air and get close to the exciting world of athletics.The participants have at their disposal a circuit of adapted activities that begins with two speed tests: on the one hand running 30 meters at maximum speed and on the other doing a tour that It includes five low hurdles to jump in. Then the long jump test, having to go as far as possible with both feet together, then the kids try on the shot put, throwing as far as possible a ball. Finally, the javelin throw is done ".

Martinez has specified that "from the Local Union of Merchants we are going to reward the winners of all modalities and sessions with a check for 20 euros so that they can be purchased products from the associated stores until next November 1. In total. There will be 96 checks that will be distributed among the winners of the different categories and sessions. "

On the part of Eliocroca, García announced that "this year there will be 4 sessions, the first of which will be on Wednesday, September 12, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Alameda de la Constitución. Wednesday, September 19. On October 3, the activity will visit the La Viña park, while the program will close on October 10 on the Calle Corredera.
