The Youth Council, Socialist Youth of Lorca and the Young Left call to collect school materials between 10 and 28 September, with the aim of facilitating the "back to school" of the families of Lorca at risk of social exclusion
The President of the Youth Council of Lorca, Juan Pedro Rodríguez, together with the Secretary General of Socialist Youth, José Ángel Ponce and Ana Emilia Quiñonero, representative of the Left Youth have presented their campaign to collect school materials with which they intend to raise, among the 10 and 28 September, the maximum number of items needed to facilitate the "back to school" of those Lorca families with greater difficulties.
"We are young, we are supportive," said Juan Pedro Rodríguez to announce the start of this campaign with which, through the NGO Cruz Roja want Lorca society and, especially the young people, get involved in this solidarity campaign to help those who are worse off.
For his part, José Ángel Ponce has highlighted the importance of this initiative that since the organization of young socialists have been promoting for four years now.
For the second year in a row, he highlighted, they have the support of the Youth Council as well as the Young Left.
The union and the participation of more groups led last year to increase the number of school material collections collected in previous editions, so they expect this year to be "even bigger".
Ponce insists that "we must not forget that for many Lorca families the beginning of the course becomes a real difficulty, so the goal of this campaign is to help these families and of course, the great work of NGOs. as Red Cross, in order to try an equal course start for all Lorca students ".
José Ángel Ponce has insisted that if these campaigns are necessary, even more must be the commitment of the City Council of Lorca, as the closest administration, to correct these inequalities.
Ana Emilia Quiñonero has called on the society of Lorca to participate in this solidarity campaign that will run from today September 10 until September 28.
In addition, it has announced that they will enable three fixed points to facilitate the collection of this material.
Specifically, it has referred to the headquarters of the Lorca Socialist Group, located in Plaza Real in front of the Pilar Barnés Municipal Library;
of Izquierda Unida, on Tello street number 4, and the youth resources center M13, next to the university campus of Lorca.
In addition, through their profiles on social networks, they will announce mobile points that will be available at the doors of various establishments in the city and in districts, specifically, on September 13, 14 and 15.
