Gloria Martin has said that José Luis Ábalos should not leave the region without a direct contact with Lorca, seven years after the tragedy, have not yet been able to regain peace.
For IU-Green Lorca, that meeting must be "priority."
The councilor of Izquierda Unida-Verdes, Gloria Martin, has asked the PSRM-PSOE to include the 'Platform of affected by the return of aid from the 2011 earthquakes in Lorca' in the "social agenda" that the Minister of Development , José Luis Ábalos, has committed to maintain during his visit this week to the Region of Murcia.
Martin explained that there are issues related to the Ministry that affect this group and that they need a response from their manager.
Specifically, the mayor of IU-Greens referred to the request for forgiveness of the state part of the interest for delay that this training has been demanding for months.
Martín has also asked Ábalos to transfer to the Government of Pedro Sánchez the need for it to be involved in the resolution of a problem that keeps thousands of Lorca in suspense, since 50% of that aid corresponds to the State, "which does not can turn a blind eye to a chaotic administrative management that the regional government has gotten out of hand ".
"It seems perfect that the Minister meets with the underground platform of Murcia and other groups that defend important claims," said Martin.
However, he added that "Ábalos should not leave the region without a direct contact with Lorca, who, seven years after the tragedy of the earthquakes, have not yet been able to regain peace."
For that reason, for IU-Verdes Lorca, that meeting must be "priority".
New assembly of affected tomorrow Wednesday
On the other hand, Gloria Martín has announced the celebration of a new assembly of the platform.
It will be tomorrow, Wednesday, September 12, at 8:30 p.m., at the Cultural Center of the City (Calle Presbítero Emilio García, 5).
Martín explained that the neighbors affected by the return of the aid are "scared" after some of them have received notifications of order of urgency, which empowers the Administration to confiscate bank accounts, salaries, pensions and even real estate to be charged the subsidies.
They are also concerned that the simplified justification procedure approved by Law 8/2018 last July has not been implemented.
"We are making great efforts to maintain calm and patience and to avoid a hot autumn in terms of mobilizations, but everything has a limit and we need to move from words to deeds," Martín warned.
