The Councilman of Commerce of the City council of Lorca, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, has presented this morning the VIII National Concentration of the Willys Classic Jeep Club that will take place in our municipal area throughout the weekend.
María del Carmen Ruiz pointed out that "with the objective we have organized from the City Council, in collaboration with this association, the completion of this VIII National Concentration to show Lorca the great work they do in defense of recovery, protection, promotion, care, use and enjoyment of these vehicles in order to preserve, enjoy and share a valuable heritage that fortunately and increasingly, takes value and recognition among all fans of the classic car.Also, it is a unique opportunity to enjoy more than about thirty vehicles in different historical enclaves of our municipality and our city ".
The Councilor for Commerce explained that "the acts will begin on Friday, September 14 with a Jeep ride through the main streets of the city that will leave from the old Convent of La Merced to end at Lope Gisbert Street where the vehicles will be exposed. On Saturday there will be a route along the Lorca and Aguilenian coast, from Cabo Cope to Punta de Calnegre, where there will also be a rally, and the next day there will be another route through the Torrecilla and the Peñarrubia mountains, passing through mountain until finishing at the Fortaleza del Sol, where the classic cars will be exposed again ".
Ruiz also indicated that "on the occasion of this concentration of Classic Willys Jeep, and in order to continue promoting and encouraging commercial activity and social movement, on Friday afternoon the shops of the city center are going to To carry out different activities, among others, it is worth mentioning that there will be discounts and promotions in establishments, fashion shows, ... "
The Willys Classic Jeep Club is a non-profit association formed in 2005 by a group of enthusiasts of the classic Willys Jeep.
He currently has a very loyal membership and great knowledge in the field.
The more than 200 members of the Club are located in the different communities within the national territory.
