The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has announced that they will propose a motion to the next plenary session with which they will request the creation of regulatory bases to specify a series of "objective" criteria so that the neighborhood associations and / or the commissions of parties in neighborhoods and districts know what they can apply for in order to apply for the subsidies granted by the consistory to help in the organization of popular festivals.

Mateos raises this motion in response to a widespread complaint, which is increasingly common among neighborhoods and districts, due to the lack of stable support that gives security to neighbors when organizing their popular festivities.

Ensures that this "uncertainty" is what puts, to a greater extent, at risk the possibility of maintaining traditional parties in neighborhoods and districts.

Mateos assures that the granting of these grants "can not continue at the discretion of the personal decision of the Mayor or the councilor of the celebrations of the day, of their personal preferences or directly of the electoral expectations that they have regarding some districts or other".

In fact, he assures that as it happens by the lack of an objective regulation at the time of granting this aid "there are districts that do not receive a cent from the Town Hall, and others that even assuring them a certain collaboration are left without it".
