The 40 Guadalentín Sports Games reach their 2nd weekend which will be one of the most activities offered, not only this edition, but almost the historical series of the Lorca Olympics.
And is that 12 tests will be held during this weekend in the pavilions, fields, slopes, streets and even beaches in the municipality of Lorca.
On Friday afternoon the Plaza de España will host a new edition of the Day of Popular and Traditional Games that includes, as it could not be otherwise, the sand castles.
At night, the Jumondi Amateur Football Trophy matches will start, with the participation of 6 teams.
Also in the day of Friday the Intersport Zurano de Pádel Tournament begins, which celebrates its eleventh edition with the participation of 60 couples;
the qualifiers will be played throughout the weekend in up to five categories, while in the morning and midday on Sunday will take place the expected final, all in the Tennis Club of Los Alamos.
Already in the day of Saturday, from 9 o'clock in the International Beach Volleyball Center, will take place the Tournament of this sport that changes its format to be held in a single day taking advantage of the excellent Lorca facilities;
organized by Eliocroca, couples from both the club itself and fans who have wanted to join the event.
The Basketball also debuts on Saturday in the agenda of this edition of the Lorca Olympics with extensive programming.
At 10 o'clock in the morning the Sports Complex Felipe VI will host a concentration of mini-basketball for children and young people, with matches 3x3 and 5x5 throughout the morning.
In the afternoon the women's senior match between Eliocroca and Maristas de Cartagena will take place at 5:00 pm, while at 19:30 the senior men's match between Eliocroca and Begastri will be played.
At 11 am the circuit located in the vicinity of the Archaeological Park of Los Cipreses, in the Sports Complex of La Torrecilla, will host the Mountain Bike Inter-school Trophy, which expects the participation of more than 70 young cyclists from the best regional clubs.
The Pavilion of San José will become during the afternoon in the headquarters of a complete handball program, which will start at 17 hours with the youth match between Eliocroca and Maristas Ademur.
From 18:30 a senior triangle will be held between Eliocroca, Maristas Ademur and Horadada Handball.
From Eliocroca they have prepared raffles for gifts and many surprises to entertain breaks and party changes.
After having to suspend last weekend the Heavy Lance Tournament due to the inclement weather, this Saturday will come fishing to the agenda with the XXI edition of the City of Lorca Sports Fishing Competition to be held for the first time in our own municipality , specifically on the beach of the village of Puntas de Calnegre, throughout the night and early morning until dawn on Sunday and proceed to weigh to determine the winners.
Between 9 and 13 o'clock on Sunday, the '82 World Cup will host the 5th Open-Air Archery League Day that will gather more than 40 archers of all ages in Lorca who will compete with all types of bows.
At 9 o'clock there will also be the one that is the star test of the weekend: the 7th Peñarrubia Lorca Trail, which this year has been named Regino Rodríguez Bermejo Grand Prix as a tribute to the mountain runner who died last summer.
With a record participation that exceeds 400 participants between the 2 modalities, Short and Long Trail, and benefit of the Association of Early Care Parents of Lorca, the Trail will start from the Rambla de las Señoritas to take the runners for a beautiful and demanding tour of the Peñarrubia through trails, boulevards, ups and downs, ... demanding but attractive.
The Veterans Football Trophy will also be played during this complete sports weekend.
Specifically, it will take place on Sunday at 10 am on the Juan Casuco football field.
Another of the great tests of the weekend will be the Rally Sprint Zarcilla de Ramos that returns to the agenda of the Lorca Olympics.
On Saturday at 4:00 pm will be the verifications, having been scheduled for 21 hours from the center of the town of Zarcilla the exit ceremony.
On Saturday, the twenty-five participating cars, including two piloted by Lorca, will run two spectacular sections.
The first one, between 9 and 12.30, joins Zarcilla de Ramos and the Caserío de Reverte;
the second, where it will run between 1:30 and 5:00 p.m., joins the La Paca road with the Rincón de los Carranzas, offering suitable safe spaces to contemplate the event.
Both specials will be closed to the public one hour before the start.
As for the National Paragliding Concentration scheduled for this Saturday, it must be informed that it has been suspended in anticipation of rain and winds expected for the day.
Being a sport that requires so many safety parameters, from the organization it was decided to suspend to avoid the displacements from all points of Spain of the participating riders, although it will try to reschedule before the end of this edition of the Sports Games of the Guadalentín.
