The best engine arrived this weekend with a complete edition of the Sprint Rally Zarcilla de Ramos that, after a few years of absence, returned to the Guadalentín Sports Games schedule in style with the celebration of the eighteenth edition of this test that has the highlands of Lorca on stage and that returns to its usual date of celebration in the first weeks of September.
On Saturday afternoon the activities began with the appropriate verifications that were developed after 4 pm.
Already by 9:00 pm from the organization we had prepared a complete exit ceremony.
From the very center of the town of Zarcilla de Ramos, the different participating cars were presented, offering an animated night for motor enthusiasts.
Participated 21 cars of the 25 registered, among which we must highlight the presence of 2 Lorca pilots who demonstrated their expertise at the wheel during the tests.
But Sunday was the key date thanks to a full day of motorsport.
Between 9 and 12.30 the races were held in the first of the sections, the usual test.
It started from Zarcilla itself to reach the Caserío de Reverte, with an extension of 8.5 km.
and competing in both directions, making two passes in each.
The races on the second stage were held between 13:30 and 17:00.
This new special started from the deputation of La Paca until reaching the Rincón de los Carranza, a spectacular route of 5'7 kms.
on which it was necessary to make 4 passes and that counted on different locations so that the many attending spectators could enjoy the test.
It should be noted that there have been very few registered accidents, which is always the best news;
In the same way it is necessary to emphasize that the layout of the new special has liked both the participating drivers and the attending public.
This complete motor day ended with the awards ceremony during the afternoon.
The winner of the general having completed the different stages in a shorter time was Francis Hernandez, Murcia Automobile Club, with Christian Noriega as co-pilot on his Mitsubishi EVO X, who have taken six scratch of the seven possible to prevail over the general.
Second was the Valencian Miguel García, with Checo Salom as co-pilot.
In the third place were Iván Arenas and Miguel Ángel Lázaro.
The fourth classified was José Javier López, Lorca from La Paca, with Jaime López as co-driver, making use of his knowledge of the terrain to stay just seconds from the podium.
The Lorca also Salvador Merlos, Zarcilla de Ramos, has been tenth in the general, completing a large participation of local pilots.
