The City of Lorca Basketball Tournament is a competition that has acquired a lot of prestige in just four editions held.
Since Eliocroca launched this event with the aim of offering a real basketball marathon in the municipality, it has been consolidated to become a very participative competition that offers a unique coexistence of regional basketball.
The best example we have in the fourth edition held during the day of Saturday at the Felipe VI Sports Complex: 13 participating teams, 15 games, 4 categories, triple contest and all the cross tracks of Felipe VI put at the disposal of the basket.
The morning was destined to the tournament of feminine cadet category, disputed by system of liguilla by Eliocroca, Students of Cartagena To, Students of Cartagena B and Archena.
In total there were 6 matches held since 10 o'clock in the morning that crowned as winners the players of Eliocroca, followed in the classification by cartageneras B, the players of A and Archena closing the classification.
But in addition, and as it was going to happen with all the tournaments held throughout the day, the competition ended with an exciting triple contest whose winner was Nerea, player of Estudiantes de Cartagena A.
At 15.30 the event was resumed with the tournaments for the male categories.
Águilas, Estudiantes de Cartagena and Caravaca took part in the men's junior competition.
On this occasion the final victory was for the aquilines, followed by Caravaca and Estudiantes.
Kike Fernández, player of Estudiantes de Cartagena, won the triple contest.
Two tournaments were launched for the cadet category.
In the one for first-year players, Eliocroca, Estudiantes de Cartagena and Puerto Lumbreras competed in a liguilla format, winning Students, followed by Lorca and Lumbrerenses.
In the second year cadets faced Eliocroca, Caravaca and Estudiantes de Cartagena, also by the league system.
On this occasion he won the local team, followed by Caravaca and Estudiantes in the standings.
There was also a triple champion: Roberto Mora, from Eliocroca, who received his medal as the culmination of this very complete regional baseball party.
Despite the complete basketball agenda held so far in the programming of the Games there is still a pending appointment as will the Basketball Table Auxiliary Course, which will be held next weekend at the Felipe VI Sports Complex.
Those who wish to attend it only have to contact the Eliocroca Sports Association to formalize the registration.
