The Councilman of Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, the representative of Hostelor, Juan Carlos Ayala, and the communication director of Estrella de Levante, Yayo Delgado, made this morning an assessment of the first weekend of the Feria de Lorca of 2018.

Agustín Llamas pointed out that "the first weekend of the fair has been a real success, underlined by the massive participation and the extraordinary festive atmosphere under which the different activities programmed by the Municipal Council have been developed, above all, the Fair of Day and the live concerts that have taken place in the squares of Spain, Calderón, Lorca Plaza, San Vicente and Plaza Real. The day on Saturday exceeded expectations, as there was a volume of people through the streets of the city ​​as the second Saturday of the fair, always the busiest for visitors and Lorca.

The Councilor for Culture has indicated that "the result of massive participation, the City has increased the provision of services as is the case of the installation of 30 chemical toilets more spread throughout the city center and the fairground of Huerto de la Rueda, where on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights there was also a high number of people who enjoyed the wide area of ​​attractions as well as the gastronomic and cocktail bars. "

Llamas stressed that "the new model of Fair that we implemented two years ago has been consolidated in our city and has become a tourist focus, which is fully compatible with rest and well-being of neighbors thanks to the work done by professionals of the hospitality industry, which have had an excellent behavior during this first weekend, following the schedules and the regulatory regulations.From the City Council of Lorca we are happy and we are satisfied to have achieved this fundamental objective.Lorca has been a clear example of civility, hospitality and coexistence, which has allowed us this year to extend the Day Fair one hour more ".
