The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has demanded the Murcian Health Service to work to do everything possible in order to maintain, at least, "the little" that area III has on the service of oncology that is lent in the Rafael Méndez de Lorca General Hospital.
Mateos wanted to echo the ruling of the Contentious Administrative Court number 8 that affects area III of health, and that puts into question the already limited oncology service of Rafael Méndez.
For the spokesman of the PSOE is "another example" of the bungles of the PP in health and, ultimately, the "weakness" that presents the area III, due to the contempt that the regional government maintains in this area.
Diego José Mateos has asked that the Murcian Health Service do everything possible so that, at least, "the little we have in Lorca in relation to oncological care, which is the possibility of passing specialist consultation and day hospital where patients can receive chemotherapy, be provided with the necessary complementary services, which is what the judge says, so that this minimum service is not lost ".
However, Mateos has once again insisted that from the PSOE de Lorca "we aspire to more", in terms of guaranteeing for users of health area III an oncology service equipped with the necessary resources to, as far as possible , minimize the inconvenience to patients, especially in terms of travel to other hospitals.
A few weeks ago, the PSOE again claimed the human and technical resources necessary for the implantation in the Rafael Méndez hospital of an oncology unit with radiotherapy.
