The spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos regrets that part of the new fairgrounds open today its doors without IFELOR is constituted.
"The idea, as we proposed in the House and what the Mayor promised, was that from the minute one the exhibition institution was constituted, and it is not."
Mateos recalled that in the plenary last January, the PSOE de Lorca took the initiative and, picking up the voice of the business sector of Lorca, filed a motion in which they requested to promote the constitution of IFELOR.
With this initiative, put forward months in advance, the PSOE proposed the creation of a work commission composed of all social and economic agents (Chamber of Commerce, CECLOR, Trade Unions, Federation of Neighborhood Associations, etc.), as well as representatives of the political groups with representation in the City Council, for the constitution and "immediate" start-up of the Lorca Trade Show Institution, IFELOR, so that it would be fully geared towards the moment of its opening.
However, eight months after this proposal, and the Mayor acquired this commitment "nothing has been known."
Only, and following the last public denunciation made by the PSOE last May, the Mayor assured that the draft about the future management model of IFELOR "was ready" and that it would be "prepared for September with a view to first fairs, like the one of FERAMUR ".
"September has arrived and IFELOR there is only a sign on the door of the fairground."
Mateos has once again insisted on the need to establish IFELOR "as soon as possible", as it should mark the momentum needed by the tourist and commercial sector of the city of Lorca.
However, the management "exhausted and improvised" of the PP government team has led to the time to open part of the fairground, for the celebration of FERAMUR, and there is still no one in charge of preparing and managing the infrastructure "
Diego José Mateos considers that IFELOR should be an institution "capable" of making the future auditorium and fairground an "independent and autonomous" entity, that is "profitable and self-sufficient", "capable of self-financing", and whose objective is also "to consolidate the fairs already implanted in Lorca, recover the lost fairs and promote new ones ".
As a result of this commitment, the PSOE is committed to a fair institution managed by a team of "professional, independent, focused and dedicated to manage and make the Auditorium and IFELOR a prestigious institution," so that it does not end "in hands of anyone ", and that" does not become anyone's placement agency ".
