The councilman of Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, has announced that the Huerto Ruano will host from tomorrow the exhibition "The emotion of the place" by the painter Pérez Casanova.
The opening will be on Tuesday at 8 pm and the exhibition will be open until January 6, 2019.
Pérez Casanova (Viladecans, 1968) is a painter with a unique atmosphere that uses gestures, glazes and transparencies with a precise drawing, knowledge of technique and mastery of perspective, in a line of new figuration, with touches of abstract expressionism in the that human presence is secondary, but showing a great preference for the urban landscape, both monuments and vulgar buildings, as well as still lifes.
He has won numerous national awards throughout his career, including the Winterthur Catedral de Burgos award, the city of Ávila, the Villa de Fuente Álamo national prize or the Villa de Riaza award, Segovia, among others.
He has exhibited in numerous Spanish galleries and participated in international fairs such as Lineart in Belgium or Porto Arte in Portugal;
in public rooms such as the Castle of Santa Bárbara in Alicante, the El Martillo de Murcia hall, the Town Hall or the Roman Theater Museum in Cartagena.
Llamas recalled that "this is the second time that Pérez Casanova has exhibited in our city, since in April 2009 we had the opportunity to contemplate his extraordinary paintings, also in the Huerto Ruano, which is why this is a great opportunity to enjoy again of the work of this excellent painter during all the Christmas dates ".
