The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and the President of Paso Morado, Fulgencio Martínez, inaugurated this morning the exhibition "Traditional Figures of Bethlehem", with which from this brotherhood want to celebrate Christmas and boost the social and cultural life of the municipality during these dates so indicated.
Fulgencio Gil has indicated that "the sample, in which several members of the brotherhood have collaborated, consists of more than fifty traditional nativity figures, which include from birth to the market, the Ferris wheel, the washerwomen, the shepherds In addition, the exhibition is completed with a unique copy in Lorca of the San Luis Bible, which is composed of three volumes and has some spectacular engravings. the Region of Murcia has a great tradition of Nativity, becoming Lorca a great reference in this matter thanks to the Association of Belen and this custom is so ingrained that we have in our city.
The Mayor of Lorca has indicated that "in the same way, Paso Morado will offer storytelling sessions and visits to the exhibition every morning until the end of the Christmas period, having already arranged appointments with various schools in the municipality. at Casa Museo del Paso Morado until January 3, Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm from Tuesday to Friday. "
Gil recalled that "El Paso Morado has been surprising us for several years with spectacular exhibitions that have been made up of cribs from around the world, traditional instruments of Christmas music, Christmas stories or philately, now they offer us the opportunity to enjoy Christmas through this traditional nativity scene and the jewel of the Bible of San Luis, with which children and adults will be able to enjoy it during these intimate moments ".
