The Local Development Councilor of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, announced that unemployment has been reduced by 21 people during the month of November in the municipality.
The mayor has indicated that "any drop in unemployment is positive for our municipality, especially when in the same month the national and regional trend is the increase in unemployment, in this sense we are very satisfied because Lorca continues to consolidate in the creation of employment by everything what it supposes for the families lorquinas ".
Martinez has detailed that "the reduction is especially significant in the sector of Agriculture, with 24 less unemployed, and in Industry, with 17. The global unemployment stands at 4,923 people, thus marking the best figures in the last decade, that is to say , since December 2018, and all this before the hiring for Christmas arrives, which leads us to believe that 2018 will close with record figures in this regard. "
Even so, the councilor pointed out that "the good trend is not a reason to stop working but, on the contrary, it is a stimulus to launch new measures that promote training, training and employability of Lorca, reducing unemployment rates and facing a 2019 that has to be a year of creation of work and new job opportunities for all Lorca.
