From the Consistory is a call for all Lorca to make their usual Christmas shopping in establishments in the city: "buying in Lorca is a guarantee of quality, consume in our city is betting to continue growing as a municipality."
The Councilor for Commerce of the City of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, along with Juan Giner, representative of the Association of Street Vendors, have presented the 2nd edition of the Extraordinary Christmas Market that will be installed in an enclave of exception as is the Plaza de España.
It will take place next Saturday, December 15 from 5 to 10 pm.
The mayor said that in the course of meetings with the Association of Street Vendors we agreed on the interesting thing to repeat the experience undertaken last year, when we launched an edition of the market in the historic center, boosting this space and remembering the original location of the weekly market that for so many years was held at the foot of the Collegiate Church of San Patricio, thus paying homage to its origins in the context of the endearing dates that we are going to celebrate imminently.
This year, as the main novelty, the schedule is extended, advancing its start at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and incorporating an area for children with workshops for making cards and Christmas cards, as well as a special Storyteller.
Ruiz Jódar stressed that in this extraordinary market we will have 17 posts that have already confirmed their presence.
The visitor will find establishments of organic farming, cheeses and sausages, footwear, pickles, spices, flowers and plants, fruits and vegetables, sweets, bakery, salted, as well as textile stalls, including fashion for both men, women, children or bed linen, in addition to costume jewelery.
The offer will be, therefore, very varied, allowing Lorca and Lorca to make their purchases for Christmas in the center and in a space of as much monumental value as the Plaza de España.
It is an initiative that adds to the different actions put in place by the Municipal Government Team to boost our historic center and attract visitors to the city center.
In the same way, we believe that the afternoon schedule will also favor that many Lorca can travel this special market.
The councilor has encouraged all citizens, both Lorca and the municipalities of our area of ​​influence, Guadalentín, Almanzora Valley and Almeria, to make their purchases in our city and to benefit from the generous offer and quality presented by merchants Lorca

In fact, going to the shops of our streets, neighborhoods and squares, we contribute to strengthening ourselves as a municipality and to continue generating employment, as we have done it in a particularly pronounced way during the last months.
