The reaction of the PP is a failed attempt to hide the ambitious project of the PSOE with which to reconvert the old police station of San Vicente in a young space and offer our youth an alternative leisure offer that brings life back to our historic center
Mateos hopes that in the long run Gil Jódar's idea of wanting to build new offices for the Aguas de Lorca company will not have an impact on the water bill paid by Lorca.
The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has reiterated that the PSOE proposal to build a young leisure center taking advantage of the rehabilitation of the old National Police station in San Vicente "is much more successful" in order to revitalize the Historic District of the city that enable municipal offices, which will open in just in the morning, as proposed by the Popular Party.
"Our Historic Center needs life, recover dynamism, be attractive, and what better than through our young people," says Mateos.
"Same scenario, same staging but empty and misguided ideas."
"The PP has wanted to copy us, blatantly, and in the end everything has been a failed attempt to try to approach our ambitious proposal that we presented since the PSOE months ago," and with which the Lorca socialists set themselves the goal of reconverting the old Police station in a young leisure center in the heart of the city.
Mateos has claimed that "young people need their space, and the historic center needs life, and the PP is still committed to cornering young people, and they demonstrate it once again, this time wanting to put young Lorca in the shallows of a building, "he says.
"This proposal has the same credibility that they did also before the 2011 elections, when in January of that year they promised another Youth Space, at that time on the Marín road, of which there is only the first stone."
Mateos says that for the installation of more municipal offices, as proposed by Mayor Gil Jódar, "it would have been more successful to even take advantage of the plot of land next to the Lorca City Hall building, between Álamo and Martín Piñero streets, or even study a use in the building of the Agrarian Chamber, also in disuse ".
Mateos hopes that in the long run Gil Jódar's idea of wanting to build new offices for the Aguas de Lorca company will not end up having an impact on the water bill paid by Lorca.
