The municipal budget concentrates the investment in citizen security, social spending and training and employment, including the creation of 35 new jobs in the administration (14/12/2018)

The councilman of Economy and Finance in the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martķnez, has reported that the municipal budget for next year will allow the creation of 35 new jobs to improve the provision of services to citizens in the different departments and areas municipal.

We are talking about a public employment offer that sets the goal of continuing to provide resources to the nearest administration, and offer increasingly more effective and quick attention to Lorca.

This is the largest public employment offer in recent years, which includes a special effort to strengthen citizen security throughout our municipal area with the addition of a dozen local police officers.

Martķnez Carrasco has indicated that along with this ten new local police, the budget for 2019 incorporate the creation of a general management technician position, 5 local employment and development agent, 2 medium sports technician, 13 administrative assistant and 14 of concierge.

In total 35 new jobs, 35 new opportunities in the field of employment with public concurrence.

The councilman of Economy has explained that this budget will also allow the acquisition of 7 new premises with 1,400 m2 in total that will serve so that several groups in the social area of ā€‹ā€‹our municipality have their own headquarters and can provide their services and attention in a more comfortable and operative.

Martķnez Carrasco has indicated that other advantages and improvements that include the municipal accounts for 2019 are the acquisition of a new social premises for the neighborhood groups of Morata, providing a new state-of-the-art turf to the Juan Casuco soccer field, with a superior investment at ā‚¬ 200,000, culminating in the renovation of all the football fields of the Ciudad del Fśtbol.

Regarding the criticism received by the opposition on these budgets, the Councilor for Economy has considered "irresponsible and populist" that after censoring, disqualifying and attacking these accounts, the opposition parties have not been able to present any proposal, which shows the total absence of project and credibility on the part of those parties.

The budget prepared by the economic team of the Consistory for next year stands at 75,553,298.60 euros.

We are talking about a figure that exceeds in 616,910 that established for the current year.

Thus, in just 2 years the budget has increased by ā‚¬ 1,855,703.

These are accounts that, after several years of cost containment and several savings plans, allow the economic recovery to be transferred to the citizen, increasing investment in practically all areas and councils.

Martķnez Carrasco has indicated that the budget for 2019, in any case, also starts with obligations for an amount of 3,387,098.33 euros as a result of the high amount of inherited debt and court judgments arising from the failed urban agreements.

We must remember about the aforementioned town planning agreements that to date Lorca have been sentenced to pay ā‚¬ 10,240,538.46, a figure that has already been paid ā‚¬ 927,709.94, which is 90.53% of the total.

The councilman of Economy has explained that the forecasts, in this way, mark the objective to continue reducing the municipal debt so that at the end of 2019 we can reduce the 105 million inherited in 2007 to leave it at ā‚¬ 36,500,000.

The treasury surplus will reach the target set in the Sanitation Plan at the end of 2019, placing it at just 12 euros.
