The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán has said that "today, the Popular Party has managed to approve, thanks to its absolute majority, inflated, electioneering budgets and with which they lie again to all Lorca."
"Their absolute majority has allowed them to approve fictitious budgets, with which the PP has shown its decline and has certified its end of cycle in Lorca."
Abellán says that "after years and years raising taxes, suffocating the families of Lorca, discriminating against the districts of the municipality, fed up the social groups, delaying works to make them coincide with the elections, the Mayor now agrees to promise the gold and the Moor just six months before the next elections ".
The socialist mayor stressed in the House that the budgets that today has approved the PP alone "are so little credible that they do not believe them themselves, because one thing is to promise and inflate games, as they are used to doing, and another It is a very different thing to execute and fulfill what has been promised, which has been shown that they do not know. "
Abellán has reproached the PP who want to believe that Lorca will be able to do in six months what they have not been able to do in 11 years.
"The same thing that happened in 2018 with the EIB Funds will happen to them." A year ago, the Minister of Public Works took the photo in Lorca, promising that in 2018 67 million euros would be invested from the EIB funds.
"We are finishing the year and it turns out that of those 67 million people have barely executed 14 million, that is, one fifth, that is a shame, and you are taking the same path with this municipal budget that you want to approve today," he warned.
Abellán reiterated during the Plenary that these budgets are "purely electoralist".
"From the PSOE we do not refuse to increase subsidies or to create new ones," but warns "you can not promise something you do not have, and more if it is done with the sole intention of obtaining votes to win an election "

Abellán recalled that just two years ago, in 2016, the PP inflated the budget foreseeing a game of 1,200,000.- € for the license of a solar photovoltaic plant in Almendricos.

Now they have returned to include in these budgets a game of 3,000,000.- € that according to the PP "will enter by taxes of two solar plants."

The PSOE welcomes the salary increase of 2.5% for municipal workers and the provision of 0.25% of the wage bill to the workers' pension plan.
However, there are issues that are being ignored, such as "Protection and Social Promotion actions", whose current transfers decrease by 12.5% ​​compared to last year.
"The PP eliminates the game to combat energy poverty, which last year had 58,000.- €, or reduce the costs of social promotion against drugs, decreasing from 78,000.- € last year to 57,000.- € for this year , 27% less, nor do they include any item for the implementation of the Bonolibro, and that there is a motion approved in full by all political groups, which is not being complied with, "he explained.
Regarding cleaning and garbage, regardless of what we pay Lorca on the receipt, this municipality will cost next year waste collection 6.4% more, as transfers from the city to Limusa for this issue will pass from 2,642,000.- € to 2,811,000.- €.

Expenditures on education, youth "remain frozen" with respect to previous years, and for small businesses, the item "increases rachitically".
"Seeing these electoralist budgets, we can see that the mayor thinks that neither the educational centers, nor the youth, nor the merchants give them votes," he adds.
As for the Autonomous Bodies and the Municipal Companies, "budgets are a copy and paste to those of the previous year, except with a couple of reservations that go in the same direction, which is to capture votes."
"Now it turns out that after many years in which they have spent the workers, and much more of their working conditions, for this coming election year they have agreed on them and have tried to please them with wage increases," says Abellán.
The saddest thing of all is that, again, another year, the forgotten ones are still the districts.
"Not a single investment for districts," he warns.
