Ciudadanos Lorca has presented today a letter addressed to the Mayor requesting that a speed reducer be placed on Santa Paula street.
Antonio Meca explains that "this is a neighborhood demand to improve safety on this street, since vehicles once past the curve of the Plaza del Negrito, accelerate reaching an inadequate speed that can compromise the safety of children who come to two teaching centers located there, to the customers of the shops, to the users of the two specialized clinics and to the neighbors of this street "
This danger would be avoided by placing a speed reducer at the height of the middle of the street in order to stop the excessive acceleration of the vehicles passing through it.
"Being the simple, fast and economic solution, we do not believe that it will take time to resolve this danger and attend to this request from the neighbors," adds Meca.
