The Councilor for Employment and Local Development in the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, has reported the implementation of a new Joint Employment and Training Youth Guarantee, called "Laboro".
This is an initiative that will benefit 32 students under 30 and 3 monitors, contemplating 2 phases of theoretical-practical training.
The first provides that students have a scholarship for 3 months, charging € 9 per day of assistance.
In the second phase the student-workers will formalize a training contract of 6 months duration, with a salary equivalent to 75% of the SMI (minimum interprofessional salary): € 642 / month (including extra payments).
The total investment that will be executed to carry out this program amounts to € 302,802.04.
Martínez Navarro explained that the start date of "Laboro" is today, and will remain active until September 16, 2019, which means a period of 9 months.
Thanks to the development of it, young Lorca unemployed who take it will obtain certificates of professionalism such as "Plumbing and heating operations-domestic air conditioning" (which has 10 students), "Decorative painting under construction" (also 10 students ), as well as "Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centers" (12 students).
The mayor of Local Development has anticipated that both the training phase and the alternance training, with the subsequent interventions to be made by the student-workers of the Joint Employment-Training Program, will include the execution of a series of works and works of benefit social agreement with the development of the training plan of the following Certificates of Professionalism.
All the places in which it is intended to act are municipal property and are minor works of general and social interest.
These will aim, on the one hand, to develop the skills related to the specialty that is foreseen in the project and, on the other hand, to serve as a globalizing axis of the different knowledge that is intended to be acquired by student-workers.
Sandra Martinez has indicated that regarding the works or services to be carried out, the following are detailed:
- Sanitation and regularization of supports for coatings, both indoors and outdoors, application of primers and protective paints in construction, realization of wall coverings in paper, fiberglass and vinyl, road markings and graffiti cleaning based on paint stripper and pressurized water.
- Installation and maintenance of sanitary appliances, radiators and air conditioning units for domestic use, as well as the execution and installation of the main networks and supplies of said facilities.
- Conservation, replacement, trimming and pruning of shrubs, phytosanitary treatments, green areas with spontaneous vegetation, planting trees and shrubs.
