The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, along with the general director of Youth of the Autonomous Community, Fran Sánchez, have presented the programs that will allow young Lorca aged between 14 and 36 years to practice snow sports in the stations of Skiing in Sierra Nevada and Formigal.
Sanchez stressed "the importance of joining forces to offer as many leisure alternatives for youth" and adds "that it is a perfect opportunity to practice sport, but also the opportunity to meet young people with whom to share experiences and enjoy of group activities and in contact with nature "
The program "Region of Murcia below zero" of the Autonomous Community will start on December 21 and end on March 23;
for this year it presents as a novelty the opportunity to spend New Year's Eve in the snow, in the ski resort of Sierra Nevada.
It is an opportunity for young people between the ages of 14 and 36 to enjoy the fourteen experiences of skiing or snowboarding in the Sierra Nevada, with six one-day trips with a price of 61 euros;
two trips combined with an overnight stay, with a day tour to the Alhambra and another to practice sports activities in Sierra Nevada for 124 euros;
four trips with two overnight stays and two days of skiing in Sierra Nevada, for 169 euros;
and two trips of five days, one to Formigal, in the Aragonese Pyrenees and the "Snowvieja" in Sierra Nevada, Granada, from 279 euros.
In total, 700 places are offered.
The departures for the day trips to Sierra Nevada will be on December 26, January 19, February 2 and 17 and March 2 and 17.
The two-day trips are scheduled for December 26 and 27 and March 23 and 24, while the three-day trips will be December 21, 22 and 23, February 8, 9 and 10 and February 22, 23 and 24 and March 8, 9, 10.
Finally, two trips of five days that will be the days 28, 29, 30 of December of 2018 and January 1 of 2019, in Sierra Nevada, and the 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of February in the ski resort of Formigal in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
The application deadline to participate in 'Región Murcia Bajo Cero' will remain open from November 23 to March 23, a trip with which the activities will end.
Young people interested should fill out the application that can be found on the website www.mundojoven.org.
Participants must have a Youth Card or Youth Card +30.
The General Directorate of Youth makes available to young Murcia different collection points in different municipalities of the Region, thus facilitating their participation and movement.
The scheduled departure from Lorca, will be held on January 26, having as a meeting point Castillo de Xiquena Street at 6:30 AM
On the other hand, Llamas has announced the program of Travel Ski & Snow that starts up the Department of Youth in the months of January, February and March.
Specifically 600 seats are offered including a trip to Sierra Nevada, ski pass and equipment rental.
For adults, older, 17 years old, the price is 59 euros;
juveniles, between 13 and 16, would pay 54 euros;
the juniors, between 6 and 12 years old, would pay 45 euros, while those under 6 years old could travel for a cost of 15 euros.
In the same way whoever wants to only make the trip because he already has his own equipment, would pay 10 euros.
Regarding the dates of the program of the Department, launched with the collaboration of Guides El Tejo Mountain, will be held on 13, 19, 20 and 27 January, 3, 9, 16 and 24 February and 9 and 10 March.
