The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos has once again demanded the opening of study rooms in the municipality with more flexible schedules and adapted to the needs of students, so that these, regardless of the studies they study , have spaces in which to prepare your exams.
Mazuecos assures that the Popular Party has been "years", with its mayor at the head, taking the hair of the students and ignoring their requests.
Since 2015, the PSOE has been demanding, from the hand of the collective of students of the municipality and Youth Socialists of Lorca, the implementation of study rooms 24 hours, through the continuous public complaints and initiatives taken to the Plenary of the City of Lorca.
However, points out the socialist mayor "the Popular Party has not been able, despite all that we have insisted and continue to insist, to make this demand of students from Lorca.
Mazuecos has warned that "again, the exams of the first semester of the different university degrees are coming again, in addition to the fact that in the next months different tests of oppositions will be carried out, among them those of primary education in Murcia and adjoining regions; we also have students from different modules, students from institutes that are users of the rooms of our libraries throughout the year. "
"All these users will meet again with a city that does not offer this type of services that they do find in university cities, such as Murcia and Cartagena, and even in the neighboring municipality of Puerto Lumbreras."
"The students are, one more year, with a municipality, in which it is impossible to access this type of rooms, and all because Mr. Gil Jódar and his team have not been able to enable these much-needed study rooms", for the simple fact, he assures, "of being a proposal of the PSOE, in which we are working since 2015, and that will be a reality as of May 2019, with Diego José Mateos as Mayor of Lorca".
Mazuecos has assured that it is "another mistake by the Mayor" to want to condition the opening of this type of rooms, which are necessary "already", to the possible transfer, or not, of the Popular University to the dependencies of the old San Vicente police station .
"The Mayor sells smoke, promising something that is in the air, and the students are not there to wait for two years, they need study rooms already, because otherwise, the alternative they have is to stay at home, try to enter the room. university campus, or having to go to Puerto Lumbreras or Pulpí. "
Since the PSOE in Lorca require Gil Jódar not to sell more smoke with this issue.
"He has been unable in these years to get for Lorca what his fellow party in other nearby municipalities, to stop teasing the students," he reiterates.
