The agreement, proposed by the Secretary of State for Development, Pedro Saura, extends the term of resolution of files provided for in the Agreement signed on May 17, 2011, between the Ministry of Development, the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the City Council of Lorca
The delegate of the Government in the Region of Murcia, Diego Conesa, announced on Friday that the State Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, Pedro Saura, has proposed an addendum to the collaboration agreement to help those affected by the earthquake de Lorca that extends the resolution period of the files until October 1, 2019.
Diego Conesa has indicated the need to approve this addendum that facilitates the neighbors affected by the May 11 earthquakes access to aid to rebuild their homes.
The Government delegate has called on the Lorca City Council and the Public Works Council of the Community to sign this document "necessary to help those affected by earthquakes return to their normal lives as soon as possible."
The purpose of this agreement is to establish the general bases of collaboration and cooperation between the Ministry of Development, the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, and the City of Lorca, which allow the application of the measures contemplated in the Royal Decree-Law 6/2011, of May 13.
Thus, the Ministry of Development will finance fifty percent of the expenses derived from the repair, rehabilitation and reconstruction of damaged homes, with charge to the expandable credit that for these purposes is enabled in the Budgets of the aforementioned Department.
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia will finance the other fifty percent of the expenses derived from the repair, rehabilitation and reconstruction of damaged homes.
