The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, reported that the City Council has approved at the meeting held this morning of the Local Government Board exercise popular action in the preliminary proceedings opened for sexual assault suffered by a young Lorca woman in the neighborhood of San Diego.
The First Edil has indicated that it is a work that will be developed by the municipal legal services.
We are talking about a measure with which we want to support our neighbor, the interests of her family and the Lorca's safety in general.
The Mayor has announced that he has personally transferred the appropriate instructions to the legal services of the City Council so that, in the corresponding procedural part, in addition to the penalties that may apply, the expulsion of this individual from the national territory is requested.
Fulgencio Gil has indicated that thanks to the intervention of the National Police, the alleged aggressor was arrested and is in provisional detention by court order.
Given the seriousness of the event and its exceptional nature, this City Council will support the victim of this aggression in everything necessary.
We have put at your disposal all the resources of our councils for what they may require, and we will be, as it can not be otherwise, by your side until the end.
The First Edil has indicated that from the Town Hall of Lorca, through all the members of our Local Police, all possible efforts are being made to guarantee the tranquility of our citizens, a task in which we work in coordination with the bodies and state security forces, whose members also know that they are making a notable effort in the same direction.
From this City Hall we support the work of National Police and Civil Guard, while claiming that the established templates are adjusted to the reality of the municipality, so that the number of agents available take into account that the extension of our municipal area is similar to that of a province, a fact that has to be duly assessed by the Ministry of the Interior to redotar the number of agents of both bodies.
The Mayor has anticipated that the Local Police will maintain the special device that was established 4 months ago in the neighborhoods of San Cristóbal, San Diego and Avenida de Europa, and that to date has included the realization of 326 specific surveillance, 93 devices preventive operations and 525 preventive patrols in which 1 st individuals were arrested for violating the Aliens Act, 4 for crimes against road safety, 2 for gender violence and 3 for different causes.
At the same time, a general police reinforcement has been established to provide coverage during the closing hours of commercial establishments throughout the city.
From the City Council, all Lorca are encouraged to, in case of detecting any circumstance or attitudes that they consider suspicious, call 112 immediately so that the officers of the different police bodies act with diligence to stop it.
