The commission of Industry, Labor, Commerce and Tourism of the Regional Assembly has unanimously approved a motion of the Popular Party in which the Government of Spain is requested that TVE retransmit the biblical-passional parade of Good Friday Lorca.
The 'popular' deputy has explained, during the exhibition of the initiative, that the Lorca society "considers of vital importance the promotion of this event, especially when it would allow to continue promoting the candidacy of the Lorca Embroidery and its staging in the Biblical Parades -Participants of Holy Week for its declaration as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Jódar has indicated that the Biblical-Pastoral Parades of Holy Week in Lorca, declared of International Tourist Interest, "make up a unique phenomenon, unique in the world in which tradition and show, passion and fervor narrate in a unique way the History of the Redemption through an own identity forged in the Lorca embroidery, the presence of the horse, the throne in stretches, the music, the passion ".
In addition, the PP regional deputy, has also stated that the edition of Holy Week 2019 "commemorates the anniversary of one of the most important tourist and cultural tourism initiatives that have been carried out in the city of Lorca, it is about celebration of the XXV Anniversary of one of the moments of greater international relevance for the processions, as was the relay by RTVE of the passionate biblical parade of Good Friday.
During this celebration of the XXV Anniversary, recalled Jódar, a large team of professionals was at the head of which was one of the most outstanding directors in the history of film and television in our country, as was Pilar Miró, "it was a historical opportunity that allowed to unveil at a global level our social, cultural and religious fact unparalleled ".
We are aware, said Francisco Jódar, that "every year you can not, for obvious reasons, make this type of approach, but we want to take advantage of this anniversary so that Spain puts her eyes on Lorca again, and this time not a tragic event, but because of our greater expression as a city, we want our processions to convey a message from Lorca to the world, and we want to show the reality of this city and the effort we are making to recover everything lost. "
For all these reasons, the deputy of the PP of the Region has requested the Government of Spain that RTVE retransmit the incomparable Biblical-Passion Parade of Good Friday, coinciding with the XXV anniversary of the one made by the team led by Pilar Miró, from the security that "would be an important revulsive for the city of Lorca in these difficult times, an undeniable way to help Lorca and a speaker to share the message of hope of the City of the Sun".
