On Thursday March 21 in the Hall of Acts of the Faculty of Sociosanitarias Sciences of Lorca is held the "Third Sociosanitaria Day of Elderly People" organized by the Poncemar Chair of Gerontology of the Murcia University.
It is recognized as a scientific and sanitary interest and accredited by the University of Murcia's own studies.
This day is free and public.
Directed essentially to students of Vocational Training in the sanitary branch, to the students of the University Campus of Lorca in its different degrees (Nursing and Human Nutrition and Dietetics), as well as professionals and anyone interested in the care and protection of the elderly.
The attendees previously registered through the web www.um.es/web/catedragerontologia will obtain the corresponding certificate with the accreditations of the Conference.
The program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and includes presentations on "Palliative care in elderly people" by the support team of home palliative care Area III;
on preventive activities "Music as an element of therapy for the elderly", "Seniors tell stories" by the head of the area of ​​socio-educational and cultural promotion of the Mayor of the City of Lorca, "Communication techniques with adults";
