The PSOE once again requires Gil Jódar to request an extension to the European Investment Bank in the face of the threat of running out of funds to face the works of Jerónimo Santa Fe, among other important projects that could be out of date.
The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has demanded Gil Jódar to accelerate the processing of the urban remodeling project of Jerónimo Santa Fe. Mateos urged the current Mayor before the threat of this project is out of time grants the European Investment Bank to finance this work under the loan.
"The project, which we have knowledge, has not yet come out to tender, so that companies can opt for the design and execution of these works," he warns.
"And that since July the Popular Party, through Lopez Miras, are announcing some works that are neither expected nor expected," warned Mateos.
Taking into account the paralysis that affects this project, "everything seems to indicate that this work could fall outside the deadline granted by Europe, which we do not forget will expire on December 31, 2019."
For that reason, Mateos has once again demanded that Gil Jódar and López Miras "fulfill their duties and request a new extension so that the planned investments, such as this one for the renovation of Jerónimo Santa Fe, and the rest of pending projects are not lost. charged to the EIB, such as Santa Clara, Avenida Europa, San Antonio, Camino Viejo del Puerto, or the completion of the Central Round and the Auditorium.
As for the works of Jerónimo Santa Fe, he says, "it would be a real temerity to lose this funding, and leave out of the remodeling projects this artery between two areas that have been remodeled, such as Avenida Adolfo Suárez and the own Avenida Juan Carlos I ".
For this, in addition to requesting the new extension, Mateos has insisted on the need to streamline the processing of the project "so that it starts as soon as possible" and everything, attending to the neighbors and merchants "guaranteeing real and effective participation" so that it does not pass as in the rest of remodeled neighborhoods "where the chaos has been evident, by the planning at skip, and by not having the direct opinion of those who will enjoy the result of these works".
In addition, Mateos asks not to miss the opportunity to include in this project "streets that were promised, and that were left out" such as Avenida Portugal, as well as others, related to nearby projects, such as the remodeling of San José.
"Streets like General Pérez Chuecos, Rambla Baja, La Seda, or Puerto Lumbreras street present a lamentable state, so it would be important to extend this project including streets that were left incomprehensible."
