Mateos: "The Plenary that we have forced, has served, in addition to putting on the table solutions for the districts, also to highlight two clear positions to understand this municipality: that of an exhausted Popular Party that boasts of neglect and of contempt for the districts during his years of government, in front of a PSOE, prepared to govern, and completely willing to work so that no Lorca, residing where he resides, feels discriminated by his City Council "
The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has "positively" assessed the result of the Plenary session that the PSOE has forced to talk about districts.
"We are doubly satisfied: firstly, because we have been able to give a voice to the neighbors of the districts, and secondly, because we have put black on white a defined strategy of what from May, I am convinced, we are going to put in march from the government to solve the abandonment and neglect suffered by our councils. "
Mateos lamented, yes, that the Popular Party has been unable to do "some self-criticism", and voted "against" the battery of measures with solutions for the districts raised by the PSOE.
A full, in addition, that "curiously, has not been recorded on video, by decision of the government team."
"We do not understand why, in this case, this House will not be broadcast, unlike what has been done with the rest, we would not like to think that, due to the fact that it was an extraordinary plenary session, forced by the PSOE to address the situation of the districts, the PP wanted to try to hide it. "
Mateos has reiterated that "for Lorca to shine again, our districts have to recover the splendor and prominence" that the Popular Party has snatched this "so important part" of our municipality.
"You can not continue ruling from behind a reality, for us incontestable: the districts are also Lorca."
In addition to establishing a battery of proposals for the benefit of the districts of Lorca, Mateos stressed that "this Plenary has served to bring back to light two ways of seeing and understanding the way to govern the City of Lorca: on the one hand, an exhausted Popular Party, that boasts and takes chest of twelve years of management in those who have despised the districts, in front of a PSOE, prepared to govern, who knows what it is to count on the districts, and who puts on the table a project designed so that no Lorca, regardless of where he resides, feels discriminated by his City Council ".
We must return the splendor to our districts, and that goes to ensure their development, facilitating the creation of industrial land, provide facilities for the construction of new housing, or improving their communications, with a transport that connects the city with our county councils, or improving the road and road network.
Fundamental, also ensure water supply for the development of our agriculture, the commitment to rural tourism, and our great craft activity.
In terms of public services, we are committed to improving health coverage, guaranteeing, among other things, the maintenance of medical offices, also during the summer months.
As in education, facilitating school transport, and of course, the maintenance of public schools, improving infrastructure in those districts where it is necessary to expand these facilities.
"If there is a common denominator in each and every one of the districts is the need to bet on a maintenance plan and improvement of public facilities, social premises or sports infrastructure, to stop the deterioration and improve the service they provide to the citizen" .
Fundamental aspect, also, that of citizen security.
"I am worried about the lack of security in our municipal area, and above all, the organization of the resources that there are, which is evident, we must improve so that this management is much more efficient and effective", warns Mateos.
"Our strategy is, of course, to keep claiming the collaboration of all administrations, govern who governs, to strengthen the templates of Local Police, National Police and Civil Guard."
In addition, Mateos is committed to retake the old model of rural patrols, which was changed with the entry to the PP government in Lorca.
"It can not be that a municipality like Lorca has only one patrol for all the districts."
Mateos reiterates the need to expand the number of troops, and also to open the territorial security centers scattered in districts, which remain closed to the wire. "
