The neighbors showed their great concern in the following topics that are common to more districts that have been visited previously:
- Citizen security.
There is great concern about the lack of prevention and surveillance that increases the number of robberies in the hamlet, due to the great deficiency of the Local Police and Civil Guard bodies.
And it is that a single patrol of each body visiting all the districts of Lorca, is insufficient.
In addition, this small number of troops, prevents further investigation of these thefts and that there may be an explanation of the facts and arrest of the assailants.
Some of the neighbors told us about the cases suffered by themselves of robberies with force, even with aggression against the inhabitants of the dwellings.
This not only happens in the districts of the Huerta, but lately we have seen numerous events in districts of the North and in Almendricos.
Everything goes through solutions, such as the Civil Guard Barracks of Lorca become a Main Post, with the consequent number of troops and on the other hand that the promise of the government team to provide 160 local police officers is fulfilled and that currently reaches the number of 130.
- Investment in Pedanías.
The neighbors themselves showed the abandonment to which they are subject the last decade of popular government and inform us that the investment of the council has been null in the deputation and that only small works have been made by the autonomous community.
We all know that the last years the districts of Lorca have been forgotten and that the investment has been only destined to the center of the city, which on the other hand was necessary.
With great disappointment the neighbors feel like third-class citizens in our city and they show their total disenchantment with the administrations that disrupt us.
- The danger of new floods.
Those affected by the San Wenceslao flood show us the desperation they suffer every time there is a threat of rain in our city.
These neighbors, instead of rejoicing at the arrival of a necessary element such as water, suffer anxiety and panic attacks.
And the reality today is that nothing has been done to alleviate these floods.
Now that the elections are over, they are once again receiving new hopes that action is being taken in this direction, but with the current political situation, it makes them doubt that this will be done.
The association PAILORCA requested the commitment to our political formation in writing so that if we form a government we carry out the projects that solve the ills that have been going on for more than six years, and of course we commit ourselves in full.
The commitment does not only go through the construction of the rolling dams of the Torrecilla, Béjar and Nogalte ravines, but it also goes through the channeling of the ramblas so that in case of avenues, that water arrives at the Rambla Biznaga without flooding all what is in its way and in this way reassure neighbors in a definitive way.
- Ave and Mediterranean Corridor.
The neighbors also showed their concern with the project of the Ave as it passes through the hamlet, since it will divide Campillo de la Torrecilla for life, creating artificial containment dams.
The consequence would be that in case of floods they would return, not only to create problems to the railway line, but to flood the houses near that construction again.
Let's not forget that the AVE shares its route with the Mediterranean corridor and all kinds of merchandise are transported along this dangerous road.
The alternative offered by Somos region goes through the study and development of the project of the AVE by the north route, thus eliminating any problem that could arise and being the definitive solution to everything.
The local administration (which was the one that presented this project being in opposition) and the Delegation of the Socialist government are deaf to this demand.
They also transmitted problems to us, such as the lack of subsidies for the Campillo collectives, the lack of parking on the Almenara road, the urgent need for their own land that can be used for a multi-use space for all groups and the realization of the patronal celebrations, as well as the creation of green zones and park for the children of the district.
They also need the facilities of the old kindergarten to be made available to the neighborhood association, which they have been waiting for two years.
Another problem is the lack of maintenance of roads, not only those of the coordinated plan, but in general in Campillo.
Other needs that manifest us in the other districts, as in Campillo are the inefficient management of public transport, the creation of neighborhood committees, but not as the government team wants to put them into operation, but with the placement of a third ballot box that promotes the choice of any neighbor by their fellow citizens and not handpicked by the municipal government.
Finally another great problem that the associations manifest is in the granting of aids for the festivities, since all are pending to receive one or two years and they see how the continuity of these parties is put at risk, and all for a nefarious management of the current Councilor for Culture.
The proximity of the elections means that there is hope for change for the inhabitants of Campillo, who have suffered these three legislatures.
The abandonment of the districts that the administrations that govern us have done, has caused that inequality between the neighbors of the center increases with those of the districts of Lorca.
